In the consumer marketing world of sodas and laundry detergent, mattress sets and child safety seats, running shoes and car tires, the consumer is the center of the universe. A thorough understanding of consumer behavior and psychology has been the foundation for successful marketing strategy for decades.
In contrast, healthcare marketing has focused largely on understanding the narrow roles of physicians and patients in disease treatment and prevention. At Qintuit, we believe that pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing can do more - be more - than it has in the past. The goal of our Patient as Consumer research is to go beyond the superficial level of the patient role and understand deeply the decision-making, social, psychological, cultural, economic, and other factors that shape consumer behavior in the healthcare arena. Our focus is on how this consumer behavior influences treatment decisions, compliance, product selection, brand preference and loyalty, and more.
